Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

The search for a New Friend
Well friends Dog Dad and Mom have begun the search for a new friend for me. I miss Katy terribly and living alone is just not in the cards for me.
After having three Shelties Mom and Dad are entering new territory they are talking a puppy. While Bailey was a puppy when they got him he was Mom's miracle rescue a puppy that was fully housebroken when he came home. This means starting from scratch and they are both excited and a bit scared at the prospect so send them your best wishes.
They are currently in talks with a breeder and have high hopes. If that doesn't work they will continue looking because they want the right fit for our Sheltie pack. Hopefully we will have some news soon about my new brother or sister.
Mom is doing her research on puppy raising and is excited to get started. I think I'll be more excited once I meet this new creature who will be entering my Sheltie space.

I hope you find a new sibling for you. We are in the same situation, except we now have no dog. But tomorrow we're going to see a cocker spaniel breeder about a couple pups. Paws crossed for us and for you too.
ReplyDeleteWe know your parents will find the perfect new sibling for you. Raising a puppy will be a lot of work but we bet there will be lots of fun times too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a new sibling soon. It will help you heal. The new puppy will never replace Katy, but you'll have another friend. I know Keltic was happy when I added Teddy to the pack.
ReplyDeleteOh, nothing brings more joy to your life that a puppy. Looking forward to seeing your new baby.
ReplyDeleteYour people are brave. Lady had 2 puppies before us and said she could not survive another. Maybe when she retires she will feel differently. We wish you luck looking for the new member of your pack. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteGood luck on finding a new pal. Can't wait to read about your adventures with your new pal.
