Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Sheltie CSI
We know Mom loves those police shows so it made no sense why she couldn't understand that we had to be in her perennial garden to explore a crime that had occurred here.
Here we are searching for evidence of an intruder. You think the parents would be happy, but all they wanted was for us to give up our crime fighting and leave the crime scene.
We discovered possible nose print evidence here. We don't want to prejudge anything but we suspect bunnies are back in the area. As specialists, we don't prejudge the evidence.
Making sure no evidence no matter how small is left unexplored.
Mom and Dad halted our study. However, we are not giving up. We will continue our study and make sure Mom's perennial garden is protected. We will post more news as we have it.

You can't be crime fighters extraordinaire without a crime scene to investigate !
ReplyDeleteThey nest in the flower gardens and then shop in the veggie gardens. We've tried explaining that we need to oust them before the vegetation gets too thick and they get too comfy. However, humans resist.
DeleteLOL pawsome work there worthy of Sherlock Bones. She often uses the term of endearment GET OFF THE FLOWER BED here too. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Get out of the gardens frequently rings through the air during the spring and summer months.
DeleteKeep up the good work guys!
ReplyDeleteThose bunnies are tricky! Don't trust that button nose and cute cotton tails of theirs!
ReplyDeleteMom's too soft on these furry creatures. If it was a snake she'd have no trouble going after it. However, she sees those cute furry creatures and she melts. She needs us to stay tough.
DeleteRabbits are infamous perpetrators in gardens...at least at our house, so don't give up!
ReplyDeleteWe get yelled for walking through the perennial garden too.
ReplyDeletegood investigative skills

OUTSTANDING CSI work. You MUST get the Rabbits...
ReplyDeleteYou were in the perennial garden, no way no how. Why if a crime happened in our perennial garden it would go into the stack of unsolved crimes.
ReplyDeleteSweet William The Scot
I wait in excitement. Sniff and wags from Laika and Vaks.
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar investigation going on in our yard last night. Unfortunately, it didn't end well for the Perp.
ReplyDeleteWe tend to herd stuff. We roll it, we play with it, but we haven't really hurt anything yet.
DeleteWouldn't you think our humans should be grateful for our investigations? Pierre is certainly having a time uprooting the yard in search of criminal moles! We'd love to have bunnies to uncover.
ReplyDeleteThe thing about moles is Mom doesn't find them cute. Its kind of like snakes. She has no problem when we want them removed. No sentimentality to it. However, when the rabbits becoming bunnies, she already has lost the game. She has trouble being tough with cute.
DeleteGood job keeping the garden safe! I know mom and dad will thank you one day :)
ReplyDeleteYou're such good crime fighters!
ReplyDeleteY'all should come check out the evidence in my backyard. You'll actually spot the perps. Plenty of rabbits and mice. But you can only come over if you plan to catch some of them.

We think they are jealous you are getting closer to solving the crime
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Somebody has to do the hard work, right guys. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteLet them do their job Mum! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely hare that eat the gardens here, so I think you're on to something!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see there are experts on the job! I'm sure you'll find the perp(s)!
ReplyDeleteOMD!! why oh why don't the peeps take our investigations seriously??? Geesh, you thinks they would want us to catch the bandits befores they reak havoc on the garden!! You guys keep up the good work...they will thank you later...
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
I love police shows too, you keep on policing the area.
ReplyDeleteSheltie CSI... I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness your Mom has you to do a thorough investigation and hopefully catching these perps. I think with spring, you will see the unsub accelerating their behavior especailly when the vegetables are planted :)
ReplyDeleteYou make great investigators!
