Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Doggy Rain Dances Work
Can you believe Mom and Dad were planning on an Anniversary beach trip right after Dad got home from a business trip? Really, leave us alone to go to a non-pet friendly area again? We think not and puppy prayers were answered. It is an icky day and we have Mom and Dad all to ourselves. We did hear Dad mention something about rescheduling. Not sure what that means.
Perhaps we should have been more excited when Mom was trying to find dog friendly beaches. Just because we are not excited about water does not mean should give up trying to find a place we can go.
We are still trying to figure out what Anniversary is and why Mom and Dad would plan a special day without us. What could be more special than a day with us?

Oh, I hope you two get to go on the anniversary trip! EVen if you don't go in the water, it is always fun walking on the beach. All the beaches we've been to in Maine & Mass. allow dogs on the beach after dinner time.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you get to go to a dog friendly place! It wouldn't be fun even for mom and dad if they couldn't share their anniversary with you!

What's an anniversary if it's not in a dog-friendly area? I mean, really! You'd think they'd rather go to the dog park or something to celebrate. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI hope the rain ends, soon, though and you all can enjoy yourselves!
Celebrating without doggies would not be a happy celebration. Old Chinese proverb that we just made up.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your parents want to celebrate with you two cuties. Keep your paws crossed. How could they resist your faces?!

ReplyDeleteI know here the camps are pet friendly around the Great Lakes but it is pretty much posted that once you hit the sand of the beach, pets are not welcome. Poo.
How could the Pawrents celebrate anything without you 2?????
