Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Mom and Dad are Going to a Baseball Game Without Us
Mom and Dad are off to see a minor league baseball game this week. They are taking Grandma, Grandpa, and one of our human cousins. Mom recently was talking about how family friendly this park was so we wanted to go. Mom had to explain family friendly means human kids, not fur kids.
Who are bigger baseball fans than us? We sit with Dad through every game. We would make great ball dogs. When the kids run the bases, we would be great at herding them. Yet, no dogs allowed in the park.
Can you picture us with our baseball hats and team bandanas? Well hopefully, Dad will leave the Red Sox game on so at least we can watch that while they are gone. Katy thinks we can get an extra walk out of Dad over this issue.

Woof! Woof! How FUN. My baseball team is not doing well this year. Your peeps for sure will have a wonderful time. Hope they'll bring some peanuts for you. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteI think you should be allowed to go! What is it with the 'no doggies allowed' rule, anyway?!
ReplyDeleteWoofs & hugs,
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
I am sure you can lay some major guilt over this one! Sometimes ballparks have bring-your-doggie-to-the-game day, so maybe you can go to that!
ReplyDeleteThey should see if there is a "bark in the park" night. Our minor league team has one every year, where people can bring their dogs to the game!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to a game tonight!
Do you not think you might be tempted to go after the ball? I know I would

Well, damn. I nominated your blog for the Versatile Blogger Award before seeing that you already had one! Here's where I put the shout-out, anyway...

I agree, dogs should be allowed to go to baseball games.

Baseball games are a blast! I think you two would look so cute in baseball hats and bandanas!
ReplyDeleteHope your Mom and Dad have a great time!
I'm with you on the "ball dogs" part, and I'm looking forward to the picture in caps and scarves! :)
ReplyDeleteToo bad you can't go to the baseball game. I hear it's usually a really really long walk from the parking lot to the stadiums anyway! It's better to view the game on TV anyway!
ReplyDeleteOh we hate that no dogs allowed rule! Maybe mom and dad will giveyou some treats when they get home
