Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Zooming After the Storm
It was so wonderful to wake up to light and sun yesterday and today. Mom and Dad were busy cleaning most of the day, but Dad took time to throw the ball and in the clean up located a forgotten soccer ball.
Grandma called us to tell us that we actually did not get the worst of the storm. One family member had a tree crush a car and part of the house. Another had a bigger basement pool at 22 inches and did not yet have power or a friend with a generator and pump. Mom's Aunt across town still does not have power and reports are that it could be a while before it comes back. While Mom and Dad are still waiting on the hot water, they feel a bit better about their situation.
We hope all of you are recovering from the storm. Please stay safe.

It is good to hear you are safe - hopefully no follow up flooding - we have been hearing about that on the news.
ReplyDeleteYes, it could always be worse.

Oh yea, so happy you are all safe. And I agree with Sara, it could have been sooooo much worse.
ReplyDeletewoos, Tessa
I could easily deal with no hot water, but no power would be awfully hard to deal with.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all safe!
I am glad you are ok and that you were able to take a break to play around with the ball in the yard. Wow you even found your soccer ball - nice! I am sorry to hear about your family member that had the tree damage the car and house, I hope they are ok. I hope you guys take care and that you get hot water soon.
