Of all Mom's flowers the Hostas are our favorites. They provide much needed shade in the heat of a summer day.
They provide us with places to stealthy
Can you see where Katy has tucked herself in waiting for those pesky predators to strike our veggie gardens? The Hostas provide us with many advantages.
LOL yes keep your eyes peeled and protect the veggies at all times. Have a fabulous Friday and stay cool.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Those are some nice big hostas, great for shade. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYOUR Hostas are just GRRRRREAT. And so versatile.
ReplyDeletePeeS.... we don't do those Google+ and FaceBark thingys either. Good to know we aren't alone. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support Frankie. Someone had made a point of the fact I hadn't responded to a Google + Blog after they had posted comments on mine. I made a decision not to move to Google+. I also have chosen to to join FB. Recently I saw someone had added something similar to this on their comments and decided it would help eliminate the frustrations of people who want comments back. I do the best I can, but there are routes I won't go.
ReplyDeleteKaty's got the right spot - nice and cool in the shade with the perfect vantage for spotting those pesky predators.
ReplyDeleteBig flower bushes sure do make great snoopy spots! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful garden. What kind of trees?
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Mom thinks they are in the Evergreen family. According to the neighbors they were planted when the houses were built in the 50's as a border. They run the for a good bit of the back of the street and for some reason one side of our yard to create a border from the back properties. Might have been some kind of agreeement when the properties were built? Some have since been removed.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is lucky to have such a great dog to guard her garden
ReplyDeleteI love hostas too! We have several varieties in our front yard... where the dogs are not allowed to play. :(
ReplyDeleteKaty is one sly and SMART woofie! Trespassers don't stand a chance at your house!
ReplyDeleteWe like the Hostas at our house too. But ours don't look like they are half the size as those. You must have some great gardening skills.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have Hostas when we lived in Texas...they have the most beautiful leaves and are fun to hide behind ;-)
ReplyDeleteSmileys!

Love your hostas, we have some great ones too. So nice seeing them come back to life. Enjoy the weekend! S
ReplyDeleteBowsers, great to have something that provides you some shade.

Your mom's hostas are beautiful! Our mommy doesn't seem to have much luck with her hostas. They don't get very big and end up dying in the middle of the summer. Our mom just doesn't have much of a green thumb:(
