Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Friday Flowers: The Many Shades of Hosta
Last week we told you why we love Hosta. In fact, most of the pictures were of our favorite Hostas the big green monsters that provide us with so much cover. However, Mom likes variety and color. So, of course she didn't stop with our favorites. She continues to acquire a variety of colors of Hosta to add to the garden even though we'd be happy with the big green leafy stuff. Some of this stuff doesn't even provide much in the way of shade. Just say'n.
Bringing us back to our favorite Hosta:
Mama keeps finding more colors and patterns she likes. However, Dog Dad has reminded her there is limited space and she has not picked up any new Hostas recently. So which ones do you like?
Join the hop here.

We so know the limited space thing. Lucky mum as ours just get eaten by snails so they are hard to grow. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I have a green hosta with the white edging in the back bed but am not that fussed on it. That said it also doesn't last that long as the slugs and snails seem to adore it so I reckon if they eat that then they'll leave the stuff I do like alone!
ReplyDeleteFirst year I was here I thought it had been stolen. All highly unlikely but it was missing. On closer inspection a single skeletonised leaf nearby pointed to the slimy culprits!
those all look great...and there is always pots if you run out of room in the garden :)

Oh, so pretty! I like those ones with the white edges. I have a black thumb, so all I can handle growing are succulents!
ReplyDeleteI love any variegated leaf anything but I think my favorite hostas are the leaves that look almost blue. Nothing else is like them!
ReplyDeleteSuch Beautiful variations of the same plant!
ReplyDeleteHostas are particularly nice for the many shady areas in the Pacific Northwest. I used to have some nice ones in the back yard, but a previous Airedale generation ate them!
