Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Wordless Wednesday: Sheltie Investigators 10 Most Wanted List Squirrel 1
Another example of the bold and the arrogant found in our yard. This guy sat posing on our fence gate not carrying it was getting its most wanted picture taken. It completely ignored Bailey's barks, but man when it heard Katy it shot down the fence faster than a Greyhound and flew into the trees at the end of the fence. Bailey is feeling a little dissed at the moment, thus its ranking as number one squirrel on the criminal list. Katy is feeling pretty proud of herself knowing even the top criminals fear her.

what a cheeky bugger !
ReplyDeleteVery, but for some reason they are terrified of Katy. They even hear her bark and they are off to the races. Baily has to be a bit more assertive before they react.
DeleteOMD some of those pesky tree rats are brazen. Next time Bailey, next time. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Thank you for your support Molly. It is humiliating that they show me no respect. Yet, all they have to do is think they hear Katy and they run off scared to death.
DeleteThose little buggers....
ReplyDeleteHEHE we don't have many squirrels as we don't have many trees. Great pics.
ReplyDeleteHi Bailey,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my blog today! I agree the squirrels are a BIG problem. They often ignore my barks as well! The nerve!

haha! Squirrels run the second my door opens here. We have a couple feral kitties outside that come around often, plus our three huskies coming out to do their business, so they don't normally stick around long!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!

ReplyDeleteMy guys keep a close eye on the this criminal's gang members as they like to hang out on our fence. They scatter at the slightest movement from my vigilante corgis!

ReplyDeleteSquirrel stew is all we could say
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
The birds do that around here, since we don't see many squirrels where we live :)
ReplyDeleteGood work, Katy! And don't worry, Bailey. I'm sure that pesky squirrel only became afraid when he realized there were TWO guard dogs on the job!
ReplyDeleteSquirrel!
ReplyDeleteThey are deceptively cute criminals!
ReplyDeletelol! Stinking squirrel! Glad Katy was able to chase it off. You gotta protect your yard and your family from those guys. ;)
ReplyDeleteNervy little guy! Reminds me of a possum we used to have that would come sit on our fence - so ugly and wasn't one bit afraid of the dog going nuts barking at him!
ReplyDeleteWe have a squirrel in our garden. He must be a brave one as he always ignores my barks too! How rude!
ReplyDeleteArrogant rats just invading your turf! Love Dolly

ReplyDeleteI let out my manly bark when I see one of those pesky squirrels! Get 'em!
ReplyDeleteWhen Molly was younger she had a very set route for squirrel patrol. She wasn't quite going in circles but she always followed the same path.
