Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Wednesday and stay cool.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Yap, Katy sure found the shady spot. Even the tail just made it into the shade.
ReplyDeleteYep, sometimes sun puddles are great, but it's always nice to cool off in the shade!
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
AWWWWWW YES.... after a nice Warm up in a sun puddle it is SOOOO refreshing to cool down in a shady spot. You found a good one.

Take a good nap while you're cooling off!
ReplyDeleteYep, sometimes a sun puddle is just too hot!
ReplyDeleteIt's even hot in the shade!
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
That's actually been the strange thing about this Spring. A couple of nights it was so hot Mom was thinking about putting in the AC's because she it was almost too hot to sleep. Then we got a cold spell and now we almost need the heat again. Spring in New England.
DeleteI hope that shade lasted for your whole nap! That pesky sun is always moving the shade.
ReplyDeletePerfect spot - a little shade, a little sun...aaahhhh.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to rest, enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteWell done. Have a great nap.
ReplyDeleteShade is very important to a black-coated dog! Jimmy tells me that all the time!
ReplyDeleteNadie always goes for sun puddles and Prince heads for the shade. He prefers to stay cooler in the summer heat too but sometimes a good shade spot is hard to find. Glad you found a good one for your nap!
ReplyDeletea cool spot is always the best for us furries
ReplyDeletePug usually seeks out the sun, even when it's hot. Don't know how he can stand it!
ReplyDeleteIts funny how one minute we are sunning themselves and then looking for shade, especially when we are black. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteThat's Bailey and Katy. They'll sun bathe for a bit and then seek the shadier areas of the yard or ask to come in depending on how warm it is. Sometimes I have to bring them in when its hot because I don't want them out too long in the heat.
DeleteMr. N usually looks for the sunny spots unless it's really, really hot.
ReplyDeletePoor baby. I bet it doesn't take long for Bailey to get hot with all that beautiful fur.
ReplyDeleteWith dark hair Katy finds the heat harder, but Bailey only sun bathes for so long before seeking the shade, too.
Deletelooks like you found a great spot! Haven't seen you visiting in ages! Come around and see us some time, we don't bite....BOL...well, wait....ONE of us MIGHT bite and it isn't me! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
ReplyDeleteSmart pup! Looks like you found a lovely spot to relax in. Enjoy! ;)
ReplyDeleteNice spot! It's too hot even in the shade here today! We are staying indoors and trying to endure the 90+ temps! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteThat shade fits you perfectly! BOL! Bark More, Growl Less Barking from the Bayou!
