Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Friday Flowers: Oriental Lilies
Mom is so pleased to see these blooming this year. The last few years they've been under nasty attack by beatles. She doesn't know if it was a change in the weather of just a beatle cycle, but for the first time in ages, the Oriental Lilies seem to be doing well.
I am not sure why Mom gets so excited when she sees one in bloom. Hoewver, if she wants to give me treats for posing by one, who am I to complain?

ReplyDeleteOMD, those are BEAUTIFUL! We were really excited too just looking at your pretty Lily flowers. Our Mommy planted hundreds of dollars of those bulbs in our yard when we bought our house 6 years ago. Little did she know that the deer think they are caviar!!
ReplyDeleteThat bright pink lily is what I, Lily Belle, am named after. Mommy's very favorite flower.
Thanks for sharing your garden with us. You made our day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I had one oriental lily coming this year. It popped up unexpectedly and I was excited to see what color it was going to be. Then I came out one morning and the deer had eaten the buds off!!! So disappointing!
