Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Recovering from Our Holiday Celebration
We had a wonderful Easter holiday, but it was exhausting. Nothing like resting up with your Easter toys to recover.

Thankful Thursday: Snow Dogs
If you haven't been following our Blog you might have missed that we love snow. Those of you who visit frequently often see our true enjoyment of the white stuff. Mom caught pictures of us enjoying Monday's storm.

Wordless Wednesday: The Easter Bunny Filled Our Treat Balls
The Easter Bunny came through in a big way. Mom gathered up all our treat balls and left them out for the big Bunny to fill. We spent the better part of Sunday morning chasing them around the house emptying them out.

A Delayed April Fool's Joke
Saturday I was sitting here on the last snow desperately trying to hold on to the last of our precious snow cookies. Mom thought it was cute and had to shoot pictures of my attempts to hold on to the last bit of cooling tasty snow. We had a beautiful warm day on Easter and Mom had visions of tulips, irises, and lilies coming up and blooming. Well little did she know Annie and I had other plans. Monday morning beautiful tasty snow began to fall and we have a yard of snow cookies again. Dog Dad says Spring snow doesn't last long, but he didn't expect we'd get more snow today, so we have hopes for long term Spring snow cookies.

Listening to audio books
Mom downloads audio books to her phone and when nobody is home she often just plays them without headphones and we get to listen to them. When she forgets to turn on our daily book, we remind her it is time for our daily entertainment. We like British readers. Mom thinks this dates back to Dog Dad getting us hooked on British announcers with soccer. However, we just happen to like British readers. It makes the story more interesting. Mom listens to a range of fiction and non-fiction but we prefer when she stays away from the scary stuff. It gives us nightmares, but how can we leave her alone to listen to it by herself?
We prefer her reading audio books to paper or her Kindle because we get to participate too. She can sit for hours staring at pages of squiggles and we get nothing from that. At least with an audio book we can hear and share the story.

Claiming the Easter Basket
I'm no fool, she who claims the Easter basket claims the treats inside. We've had this doggy Easter basket for several years and it came filled with Easter stuffies. However, there is nothing saying that big bunny won't fill it with treats if I hold on to it.
Mom is still trying to figure out how I got my leg thought the hole. She made Dog Dad watch me when I got up to make sure I didn't hurt myself.
