Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Remembering Bailey
It's hard to believe it's been 2 years already, but time does fly. We haven't forgotten you baby boy. I do find it funny that even though Annie is so much smaller than you, people who haven't seen us in a while just remember us having one light and one dark Sheltie and are shocked to realize Annie has been with us for almost 2 years now.
We were truly blessed that of all the people who could have adopted an adorable rare Sheltie puppy to be available in rescue somehow you found us. I will never stop being grateful for that. You brought such joy and kindness where ever you went. Sadly, I think you might have missed your calling as a therapy dog. You had all the natural instincts that just can't be taught.
Enjoy your freedom over the Rainbow Bridge dear boy. You have earned your wings.

You never forget your angels! In July, my esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel will have been gone for two years too. It never gets easier, it seems.

Sweet post for your Bailey, they truly leave pawprints on our hearts.
ReplyDeletewe are also sending you (((hugs)))) as you remember, we can't believe it has been 2 years either. I think all Shelties possess those traits, I often mention that I should have had Dakota trained to be a therapy dog. I think Shelties just have a natural sensitivity about them. xoxo
ReplyDeleteTime flies so fast and you think wow has it been that long. Happens to us and I am amazed some of our cats are seniors now!!!
