Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Throwback Thursday: Turkey Cookies
We wanted Mom to post these after Thanksgiving, but once again Mom never got to do it. However we wanted to preserve this memory. Every year Mom sends Dog Dad to the store to find us Thanksgiving cookies so we can participate in the holiday celebration. Sadly Thanksgiving seems to be a very neglected holiday in the dog world. There are very few toys and until this year, we'd never gotten a holiday specific cookie.
This year Dog Dad surprised Mom with Turkey cookies. It seems someone is as crazy about the holiday as Mom and we got to have our turkey's while everyone else was having pie.

ReplyDeleteDid your Mom and Dad discover that Petco has Turkey dog toys? Some stores still have a few left, they should get one for your next Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have any at ours. What did they look like? Mom has been looking for Thanksgiving toys for years. She found two Turkeys that gobble online a couple years ago and they go aways with the Thanksgiving decorations every year to preserve them. She's never found any in the stores here.
DeleteOoooooooooo those look DELISH!!!!! Or Ma says they do, I would like 87 without the chocolate stuffs, and a margarita...☺

Those look too adorable to eat! And I know what you mean about the lack of Thanksgiving dog stuff. People seem to move right from Halloween to Christmas these days.
