Dad took us to the vet on Saturday. Dad did warn me about the rabies shot, but he forgot to mention the several other pokes for shots, blood and that awful inhaled stuff up the nose. Katy sat bravely with me. The vet is extremely nice about letting us go to each other's visits. She seems to understand we support and encourage each other. Katy sniffed me all over when it was done and stayed by me all afternoon when I was feeling the after effects of all the pokes.
The Vet gave me a clean bill of health. I am dealing with some aging issues, but nothing that was not expected of my breed and age.
Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

Good news that no major problems were found. Take it easy Bailey. Have a magnificent Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That is good news - I always have to go and hold Denny's paw at the vets too - but he is the youngster!
ReplyDeleteWhen Katy came from rescue, she had to make a trip to the vet and we left Bailey home. I have never seen him get so stressed out. He was awful. DH mentioned it to the vet the next time he was there and she told him to bring Bailey any time Katy had to come. Until last summer Katy was more than happy to stay home when Bailey went to the vet. Then I believe it was last summer, she started getting all upset when she was left at home while Bailey went to the vet alone. Now it is pretty much a given we take them both when they have to go when ever possible.
ReplyDeleteGOOD fur YOU!!! and we AGREE about supporting each other.
ReplyDeleteGlad all is well. I also have those "aging" issues. But what can I expect I will 13 in a month.

Yay! I'm so glad you got a clean bill of health! Freddie and Gloria always accompany each other to the vet too. It helps their stress level a lot.
