Bailey and Katy came to us as rescues. We lost Bailey in June of 2016 and Katy in November of 2022. We were blessed to have Annie join us in August of 2016. They have brought great love and joy to our immediate family and to extended family and friends. This blog will share their stories and issues related to Shelties. Some told from their perspective and others told from those that share this journey with them. Notice: This blog does have Amazon product links and Google Adsense

The Dog Cave
I won this bed for Katy and I last summer at a fundraiser for local dog rescues. Mom never thought we would get so much use out of it, but we constantly slide it around on the floor to get it into new locations. Lately Katy and I have taken to cave dwelling under the table. This was one of my earlier attempts. Mom missed the shot she wanted where Katy had managed to wedge almost the entire bed and her body underneath to create her cave.
Mom was uncertain of the bed’s future when I won it, but it seemed like a comfortable downstairs resting spot. Who knew it would be the most creative toy fort any dog could have.

Smart! And Katy looks super comfortable!
ReplyDeleteAwwwe! I love her little cave! I have passed on an award to you. You can find it here. http://janet-bassetmomma.blogspot.ca/2012/03/back-at-beginning-of-march-i-received.html
ReplyDeleteHEY girrrrrls... I really like your Dawg Cave!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Frankie, but Katy is the only girl in our dog clan. :)
ReplyDeleteReading the other comments I see there is some confusion. Katy is a girl and the black and white one. I am a boy and the brown and white one. Mom has fancy names for our coat colors, but since we go by smell, it really isn't a big deal to us. I already answered to the name I had when I was rescued so Mom and Dad decided not to change it even though many people seem to think Bailey is only a girl's name. We've only met a human boy with the name. Most of the dogs seem to be girls.
ReplyDeleteDog cave? That's pawsome! I want one!
ReplyDeleteOh darn. I even checked myself before I answered your post! I thought that Katy was the tri, but then I saw the post and you said that Katy moved the bed, so I second guessed myself.
ReplyDeleteSorry about that! You are both so cute and special I can't help but mix you up! :)
It's so funny! Eva likes to sleep under our chairs!
ReplyDeleteExcellent use of a bed and a table!
