Halloween Sent Us A Trick

Yes, folks this is me, Katy sitting in snow over Halloween weekend. There was no heat in the house and snow on the ground. It was supposed to be a lovely fall day. While I was not looking forward to strangers banging on the door demanding candy, I also was not prepared for freezing in the house when the heat went off on Saturday and did not come back until Monday night. Mom keeps telling Bailey and me we should be quite grateful as the power company was predicting we would be without electricity and thus heat until Thursday. She was doing the happy dance when it came back yesterday. She also says the strangers will not be coming to the door until Thursday either as the City postponed trick or treating.

We have many stories to tell all of you about our adventures in house camping. We hope all of you are safe and warm.

  4. I can't imagine sitting in ice, except when it's in my pool (yep, I've done it)! And my family has gone without electricity for about 3-4 weeks after a really bad hurricane -- thank goodness I wasn't born back then! I hope your power comes on very soon!

    Woofs & hugs, <3

  5. I am so sorry that the snow monster got you! You ARE lucky though, from what I heard on TV they are saying that some might not have power back for another week to two weeks!!!

Can't wait to hear about your "indoor camping" and welcome back!

  6. Oh I sure is sorry that your heat went away. That is not a good thing. But I is happy that your heat is back.

We don't get any trick or treaters out here cause we is too far in the woods and it is tooooo spooky for the kids!

  8. Brrrrrrr! I am such a wimp if the power goes off and we don't get snow here. It doesn't even usually get below 36 degrees that often and the day levels off in the 40's in our winter.

I can't even imagine postponing Halloween...will the kids still come so you can bark at the door?
