Squirrels Seem Bolder This Year

Mom and Dad never seem to be quick enough to catch their faces, but we see them lurking in our tree house, using our fence as a highway, leaving unwanted presents on our porch. Yes, we know they are out there those varmint squirrels. Mom went to a place where you can get wanted photographs like those that they have for criminals. She claims that is not where she went. Why else would they have photographs of these nasty creatures?

One was actually arrogant enough to do stretches over the fence post while we were resting comfortably by the window, which of course forced us to have to rush outside and get him out of our tree house.

You have seen the enemy. Be warned. Last year we let one get in the basement and he created all kinds of problems. Even with two of us there seems to be an increasing problem. The population seems to have grown this year.

  1. We have tried everything to keep them out of bird feeders. No wonder there are so many.

  2. Oh yea, Mom says it was the mild Spring and early Summer this year. Either way I agrees with yous those darn squirrels are not nice. We don't have any squirrels left anymore. The foxes ate them! Then the raccoons came and well, I thinks I would rather have the squirrels back!

  3. We saw a squirrel on our walk yesterday and instead of running away from us he ran towards us!

  4. I'm with the other commenter. (sorry!) I absolutely adore squirrels and think they are the cutest little critters on earth. I'm curious to know what kind of issues squirrels could cause though?

  5. Oh my goodness. Squirrels! I hate it when the run up in the tree real fast -- and then they make that squirrel laughing noise. Drives me crazy! Good luck chasing the squirrels.

  6. Squirrels are curious and they chew. They can find themselves in places they don't belong, like your home. We had one in pipes this summer and it was not good.

  7. I think you are right - the squirrels do seem bolder. Too bad we can't climb trees - that would fix them!
